Sales Rep.- HD Video Communications

Panasonic is currently seeking to hire a Sales Rep-Systems for the Panasonic Communications Company. This position will support the Western Region territory.

Basic Function:

Selling HD Video Communications Products/Solutions to Medium and Large Business end users and Panasonic Dealers. Managing Sales Activities/Performance relating to Panasonic Product. Assist in creating End-User demand and growing the revenue base in the assigned geographic territory.

Accountabilities:


  1. Selling/Account Mgmt/Customer Service


  2. Attain minimum of 100% of assigned sales quota


  3. Drive creation of sales leads, follow up within 24 hours and strongly manage each opportunity and report weekly status for each.


  4. Identify, develop and support approximately 25 key dealers in assigned territory.


  5. Work with approximately 2,500 dealers in assigned territory to generate sales leads and follow through.


  6. Develop business and relationships with End Users and Dealers through close communications


  7. Develop strong remote communication skills to close sales leads, identify and develop end user customers and to assist the dealers in understanding promotions and offering sell through support.


  8. Utilize tools such as HD Visual Communications, regional demo centers, and webinars to effectively communicate with end users and all the dealers and practice strong time management


  9. Promote HD Visual Communications to the customer base through demonstrations and presentations, managing schedule and reporting on utilization for regional demonstration centers..


  10. Manage travel budget for high-profile potential customers to bring them to regional demonstration centers.


  11. Collaborate with PNA division companies to develop sales leads and manage relationships and utilization for their customers to increase awareness & demand for our products


  12. Maintain records of customer information & performance. Establish goals and track performance to objectives


  13. Manage customer service issues to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction and retention.


  14. Minimum 50% travel required. Home office must have cable modem and DSL or Fiber broadband access


  15. Planning Administration


  16. Provide timely, accurate & complete lead management and sales reports and forecasts. Attend required sales conference calls and meetings.


  17. Give thorough market feedback to management


  18. Give a high degree of attention to individual performance against the assigned business plan


  19. Plan activities, agendas, programs with achieving business budget always in mind


  20. Give high attention to the plan numbers, current and projected performance to that plan


  21. Product Knowledge


  22. Maintain a high level of product knowledge; attend product/software training as available.


  23. Maintain a high level of competitive product awareness


  24. Keep abreast of the changes in technologies and communicate this knowledge on to your dealers/customers


Management Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for achieving a minimum of $4M in sales in 2010.


  • Independent contributor.


  • Managing all aspects of the business and dealer business within assigned territory, concisely and professionally.


Qualifications

PROBLEM-SOLVING/KNOW HOW:(complexity of problems and education/experience & other knowledge required)


  • Bachelors degree in business management, sales, marketing is preferred.


  • 8+ years successful sales experience required. Video Conferencing industry experience preferred. Understanding of SIP technology highly desirable but not required.


  • Collaboration and networking skills needed to effectively navigate the internal organization to resolve issues and meet customer requirements.


  • Strong understanding of key business drivers and decision metrics required to close sales of high-ticket solutions. Able to collect from end-user actual business metrics and assemble into compelling business case to close the sale.


  • Strong understanding of communications and networking technology trends and impact on consumer adoption of new product offerings


  • PC Skills: MS Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point (Required), SAP (preferred)


COMMUNICATIONS: (key communications contacts and level of persuasion required)


  • Strong, professional verbal/written communication skills required.

  • Must constantly communicate with dealers, management, and internal staff in a very clear and positive manner.

  • Ability to present solutions to dealer community and end-user.
