Group Manager - Co Marketing
Basic Function:
This position is responsible for leading the development and execution of channel partner and corporate sponsorship co-marketing initiatives designed to drive sales and Panasonic brand equities, improve marketing spend efficiencies, and deepen Panasonic relationships with key retail partners.
Accountabilities:
- Channel Marketing
a Lead team of co-Marketing managers to serve as CMGs daily point-of-contact for Panasonic sales teams and retailers, partnering with them to identify retailer-specific requirements, develop collaborative growth plans, coordinate internal Panasonic resources needed to support the accounts marketing needs, and oversee successful execution of marketing promotions at retail.
b Lead the development of ongoing, 12-month marketing plans for each of PCECs top channel partners as needed to help Panasonic achieve its overall and retailer-specific business objectives.
c Champion the identification and development of solutions for account-specific merchandising, POP, and training needs.
d Work with product teams, retailers, and the PCEC advertising/media agencies to drive the development and testing of improved retailer-funded (MDF) promotion/advertising vehicles.
e Customize national Panasonic marketing and sponsorship initiatives for local, retailer-specific needs in order to maximize impact at store level.
f Bring actionable shopper insights to the channel partners to inform category management decisions, assortment strategy, and to shape promotion plans.
g Partner with Marketing Planners to direct the development of creative materials (marketing newsletters/updates, promo sales kits, etc.) to support the Panasonic sales teams and their communication needs with key channel partners.
h Track and report sales execution of PCEC retail promotions.
- Sponsorships
a Serve as CMGs planning and execution lead for PNA-wide corporate sponsorships (e.g., Olympics, US Open, US Soccer). Coordinate with product teams and key retailers to ensure sponsorship assets are fully leveraged.
- Staff Management
a Provide ongoing coaching and supervision to co-marketing team as needed to develop a highly collaborative, engaged, and effective group.
b Ensure team develops close working relationships with retailers and Panasonic sales/product teams in order to most effectively meet their business support needs.

c Product Portfolio: All PCEC consumer products (e.g., TVs, Imaging, Home Entertainment, Consumer Phones, Microwave Ovens, Shavers, Air Conditioners)
2 Education and Experience
a Bachelors degree, MBA preferred
b 7+ yrs of consumer/trade marketing experience
c In-depth, direct experience working with channel partners in a sales/marketing planning function
d Experience with sponsorship activation and advertising; media planning a plus
