Systems Specialist (E-commerce Web Developer/LAMP Developer)

Job description:

SUMMARY

Diagnose, analyze and develop software and systems programming solutions to resolve complex media and test operations technical issues related to monthly media updates. Develop and integrate Media Operation software tools to automate manual processes. Develop back-end system platform to support various Web Presentation Layers. Provide deep insight into development projects incorporating vision of Lead Architect into MCS systems.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Experience with C++, UNIX, Windows, Linux, SQL; standard web technologies i.e. HTML, XML Java Script, CSS and PHP preferred. * Strong analytical skills and complex problem solving capabilities. * Adept at using effective time managements skills to handle multiple projects. * Ability to resolve management issues, to maintain workflow, quality and on-time delivery. * Ability to work through most team related issues without escalation. * 5+ years of developing commercial/production level Java/J2EE applications * Experience working with modular, component based systems * Experience working with software engineering process (UML/Requirement Management) * Experience building software using scrum/agile methodologies * Experience developing high-volume transactional systems * A minimum of 3 years experience with MYSQL or newer and data migration.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Strong experience leveraging open source frameworks as part of building software solutions: * 3+ years developing and debugging application in a Unix/Linux environment. * Understanding the different between loop and cram file system * Ability to read/write complex queries and debug transaction SQL * Proven development experience in: * Java / J2EE (5+ years) * PHP * Spring and related frameworks (Hibernate, etc...) * Building Service Oriented Architectures using SOAP/REST * Messaging APIs (JMS) * RDBMS systems * Tomcat/JBoss Application Servers * Database modeling and migration * Experience working in a team environment. * Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. * Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Makes significant decisions including implementation and program requirements.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Minimum of 5 years work experience in engineering, software development, project engineering, or systems engineering. * Minimum of 3 years aircraft industry experience, specifically in the IFE industry preferable. * BS Technical college degree (computer science/electronic engineering/programming) or equivalent relevant experience.
